JONGE SCHRIJVERS
Do you like to write? And are you between 14 and 18 years old? A story, poem or even a play or theatre text? Would you like to write more often and learn how to become even better at it?
Do you write from time to time? Single thoughts, a song lyric, a piece of poetry, or a story? Would you like to learn more about that? Then come and take lessons at jonge schrijvers, a collaboration between Meeuw Jonge Theatermakers and Explore the North
You work with a small group in writing prose, poetry, dialogues, monologues and all forms in between.
Inspiring lessons from young, professional writing teachers. Who don’t pay attention to how you write, but to what you write. And that’s not all.
- Starts on March 17, 2024 until June.
- The course costs 50,- euro.
- You will receive 10 lessons and of course homework in between, because writing is also: making progress!
- You take lessons from professional writers.
- This takes place in the Westerkerk, Bagijnestraat 59 in Leeuwarden.

We conclude the series of lessons with a performance, where you can present your texts to the audience. We also collaborate with festivals and venues: the Jonge Schrijvers have previously performed at Explore the North and Oerol. For example, they wrote texts for het Grote Onbekende, Toen Rijst nog Jong Was, Het Arrivacomplot and a podcast for Bosk by Arcadia.
The lessons of the jonge schrijvers start on Sunday, March 17 in De Westerkerk, Bagijnestraat 59 in Leeuwarden. The starting meeting is also a trial lesson. We conclude the series of lessons with a performance, where you can present your texts to the audience.
