Het Arrivacomplot

When you’re young, you often have to wait. Waiting for your dad to make dinner, waiting for the bus, waiting for school to end, waiting for him to break up with you, waiting to get your driver’s license, waiting for something to finally happen. Until a flying pig lands, until you get a signal, until it all really starts. But will that moment come? And what if you stop waiting and just start living? Or what if you can’t?

Het Arrivacomplot was created based on texts by seven young writers, played by three professional actors. Directed by Eva Meijering, we see a place where people work day and night. Three colleagues are waiting there for what is to come. Customers? Deliveries? Eachother?

Since 2018, we have been working with Explore the North on training for young people to get them writing. That is why Meeuw’s lessons also focus on creating texts ourselves, with which we give our young people broader training in theater making.

WRITERSBRUNCH
On Sunday, October 9, you can participate in a writers’ brunch before the performance. Under the guidance of teacher Caro Goldenbelt, you will receive an hour and a half of lessons in writing short texts. Participation is free and you can register by sending an email to info@meeuw-jts.nl
